Cloud Nine night surfing to open in October 2010

Cloud nine doing what it does best - pumping

Cloud Nine, is often considered to be one of the best breaks in Asia, if not, the world. And as of October, 2010, will be illuminated at night by more than just the big-old, pizza pie in the sky. Cloud Nine, Night Surfing will open for business and a fifty-foot tower of floodlights will light up the Cloud Nine lineup - the year round. Night owls will now be able to get barreled and tan their pasty-white faces via pure lightbulb wattage.

The ceremonial surfboard will be broken by Philippine Vice president Binay to launch Cloud Nine's, Night Surfing on the 24th September this year and the tower of light [which is being constructed as we speak] is due for completion by mid-October. There will even be safety boats and life guards on patrol during all sessions for those who might get "a little scared of the dark".

Can you imagine surfing heavy Cloud Nine during the peak season, at night? Will anyone sleep at all? It's not uncommon to drive into the Snapper Rocks car-park at midnight and see a lineup of 10 guys when the moon is full, I guess this is just the same thing but on a much larger and more expensive scale.

Contiki stop 46 on the new-worlds theme park tour will now read "Cloud Nine" and I'm sure will be complete with 3D goggles, gremlins, fairy-floss, show-bags and occasionally the odd Barrel.
