elping to 'Celebrate 50 years of the Rip Curl Pro and Bells Beach Easter Rally', Tracks magazine has brought to life some classic archived pages from past issues. Going all the way back to 1974 and back up to 2006 Tracks delivers moments of surfing excellence and much more... Each video presentation is accompanied by audio commentary from a Bells legend.

The year was 1996 when 19-year-old Chris Davidson was gifted a wild card into the Bells event thanks to his (and the events) sponsor, Rip Curl. Davo, had just returned to Australia after travelling the wilds of Indonesia and beyond with the Rip Curl team. And it was all in the name of 'The Search'. His skills were sharp and his knife was clean – having not been in a surfing contest for sometime. World champion Kelly Slater has a love hate relationship with Bells, and this year was no different. Davo got the wood over the champ not once, but twice. In this video Davo talks us through how he was feeling, what he was riding and most importantly - how he did it.
