This Is Ozzy

 Sometimes it takes an outsiders laser beam focus for us to re-appreciate some of our home grown talent. Sometimes it takes a foreigners fresh line of questioning for that talent to open up. This video, from French publication Desillusion magazine, is a fine example of both those things happening in unison. Ozzy Wright, who has been around the surfing/art/music scene for nearly 20 years, has been (it can be argued) at times over-publicised to the point of saturation. Even Ozzy must get sick of Ozzy sometimes. But this clip makes us glad he hasn't gone anywhere (like his son River we don't really mean that). There are glimpses of the speed loving frontside specialist's true self in this mini doco and from the outside looking in things look to be going swimmingly.
