Gold Coast based photographer Andy Potts hit The Mentawai's mid June for his first ever boat charter.

A bumpy crossing and a few days of left over wind swell was the “Entree” for the first few days of the trip.

But a fresh ground swell combined with light, variable winds ensured the “Main “ was pretty much epic! Macaronis and HT’s pumped all week and Andy nailed some great shots to prove it.

You don’t need a sticker on your board to get shacked off your head at Macca’s.

The most basic pig dog stance on a slightly longer board and you can nail some tube time at Macaronis. It is that perfect when it is on.

Can a three to four foot wave get any more perfect than this?
