This is the Annual State of Origin showdown on Namotu. The dates of the Fiji Pro coincide with a State Of Origin clash, and Namotu Island being home to the Aussie competitors, always turns into a Rugby League grandstand for one night. The Island is dominated by Blues supporters, I think Parko and Bede are the current exceptions, and right throughout the Quik Pro, Globe and Volcom Pro incarnations of the Fiji Pro the blues supporters didn’t have much to celebrate. In 2014 however, they dominated the series and there was plenty to get excited about.
