Super stylish, super powerful and capable of huge results at Bells Beach, Victoria’s  Adam Robertson won a high scoring final of the trials to secure his 6th wildcard into the Rip Curl Pro which begins tomorrow at Bells Beach.

Adam is the highest placed Victorian ever in this iconic event having finished 2nd two years ago.

In today’s trials final Robertson defeated close friend and fellow world professional surfer travelling partner Nic Muscroft in a high scoring affair – Muscroft opened early with a 6.5 but Robertson remained patient throughout the final, and ten minutes in caught a near excellent 7.75.

Late in the final Robertson sealed the win with an excellent 8.75 ride to comprehensively win and take the one Victorian wildcard into the main event.

He will face 10 time world champion, defending event champion, current world champion and current world number one, surfer Kelly Slater (USA) in the opening round!
