Mick Fanning has taken time out of his world title schedule to give a teenage cancer patient a surf lesson. Ben Beasley thought he was on a family holiday to Queensland when his hero showed up to share some waves at Snapper Rocks. Beasley, a 16-year old from Adelaide was diagnosed with a brain tumour in March and has undergone multiple sessions of chemotherapy. Fanning is an ambassoder for the Starlight Children’s Foundation who helped coordinate the meet. Beasley who was obviously stoked told the Brisbane Times, “This was probably the best day of my life.” Onya Mick!
