Adelaide mother Pascale Honore, the paraplegic woman who rose to fame for surfing waves duct taped on the back of her son’s friend, Ty Swan, has died aged 52.
The Adelaide Advertiser reports Ms Honore died on Sunday in Southport Hospital from a twisted bowel after undergoing surgery in August.
Ms Honore was left wheelchair bound following a car accident near Port Lincoln, South Australia 18 years ago, when she suffered a T4 spinal cord injury. Despite her limitations she continued to live life to the fullest.
You may recall the viral video of Ms Honore and Ty (below) that lifted the spirits of millions from around the world and inspired many who had suffered spinal injuries themselves. The entire Tracks team offers our condolences to her family and friends. May you rest in peace.
