The Irons family has again successfully filed to have Andy’s autopsy results withheld from being made public. The Unopposed Motion to Modify the Temporary Injunction that was to expire on the 20th of May, 2011. This date has now been extended by 30 days.

Judge Donald J. Cosby granted the 30-day extension. The information is now due to be released on Monday, June 20, 2011. The autopsy has been concluded but will not be signed by Dr. Nizam Peerwani until the injunction is lifted.

The results were originally delayed due to a request by Andy’s wife, Lyndie who felt public scrutiny and media attention above and beyond the norm would be detrimental to her and their son Axels recovery from their loss.

It was just last year that the surfing world mourned the death of this terrific champion.
