Thundercloud set a new benchmark for surf documentaries with a film that not only appealled to surfers but mainstream audiences. The cinematography and production values are second to none. Interview subjects range from the world’s best surfers to Fijian political identities, and provide a historical context about the former exclusivity of the break and the key moments that led up to that defining swell. Now it is coming to the USA with a Tour commencing in two weeks time. Filmmaker Talon Clemow says, “we’re doing the tour not only for people in the USA but for the crew in other parts of the world that might be interested in the production.” Australian audiences have already been treated and now it’s your time America.
